Tropical Storm Nicole 5pm Update: Orlando International Airport
ORLANDO, FL. – As of 4:00 p.m. today, Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Orlando Executive Airport ceased commercial and private operations in advance of the approaching storm.
Latest Information:
- There have been a total of 473 flights affected by ceasing operations.
- The last flight to leave was British Airways flight 205.
- MCO officially ceased commercial operations at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
- MCO is finalizing all hurricane preparations throughout the facility including sandbagging doors and tying down all boarding bridges.
- All non-essential airport personnel, not part of the ride-out crew, have been sent home until further notice.
- Gate Link and Terminal Link trams connecting the main terminal to Terminal C and the airsides are secured.
- Communications continue with city, county, state and federal emergency management officials.
- Communications continue with the National Weather Service / National Hurricane Center to track the storm’s path.
- Important Reminder: MCO is not an authorized shelter.
