ORLANDO, FL. – With today’s addition of Nashville and Raleigh/Durham service and tomorrow’s launch of service to Charlotte and New Orleans, Frontier Airlines is the fastest growing airline at Orlando International Airport. Frontier will also add four new routes in June to Austin, Pittsburgh, Columbus and Dallas/Fort Worth.
“Over the last two years, Frontier has become the fastest growing airline at MCO as measured by seat capacity. In terms of destinations served from Orlando International they are now the third ranked airline,” says Phil Brown, Executive Director of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “Frontier’s expansion in this market reflects the strength and desirability of this destination.”
In the past three years, Frontier has increased seat capacity to Central Florida from 34 thousand seats per month to 230 thousand and has made Orlando its second largest market outside of its base of operations in Denver.
Frontier is the 6th largest carrier in passenger traffic at Orlando International.
